The membership is open to all commercial Dungeness crab fishermen in British Columbia.
The BC Crab Fishermen’s Association represents and advocates for the interests of crab fishermen in British Columbia. The association’s goal is to improve the experience, quality of life and business for crab fishermen in BC and to increase the visibility of the industry as a whole.
We work on behalf of commercial Dungeness crab fishermen to develop relationships with partners, government stakeholders and consumers, and to represent the crab fishery in meetings with the DFO, ENGOs and the Provincial and Federal governments. The association is also focused on raising the public’s awareness about the sustainability of the fishery and its importance to BC’s economy.
Our association exists to confront the many issues currently being faced in the commercial crab fishing industry, including tariffs and access issues. Attending over 135 meetings in 2025, BC Crab actively participates in all major policy discussions affecting the crab fishery.
